Ich wurde in Cali, Kolumbien, geboren und kam 2007 für mein Bachelor- und Masterstudium nach Deutschland. Ich habe als B.Sc Technische Betriebswirtschaftslehre studiert und mein Master war für Abfallwirtschaft und Altlastenbehandlung an der TU Dresden. Seit 2010 arbeite ich als Umweltingenieur und Berater in den Bereichen Entsorgung organischer Abfälle, Energieeffizienz und im europäischen CO2-Handelssystem. Ich bin Gründungsmitglied der gemeinnützigen Organisation Latin American Women, die Territorium, Umwelt und Gesellschaft „MILatts e.V.“ in Dresden, Deutschland.
Als M | Latts freuen wir uns darauf, ein Netzwerk für Umwelt- und Sozialprojekte in Dresden sowie in unseren Heimatländern in Lateinamerika aufzubauen.

Connie Lopez

Mutter von Zamia, Dana y Ruca. Ich wurde in der Küstensavanne geboren und bin in den Bergen von Antioquia in Kolumbien aufgewachsen. Beruflich bin ich Anthropologe mit einem Master-Abschluss in Umwelt und Entwicklung und einem Doktortitel in Geographie. Derzeit bin ich Dozent an der Nationalen Universität von Kolumbien, Medellin. Als Berater und Forscher interessiere ich mich für Themen wie Natur und Kultur, lokales Management und Umweltbeteiligung, Ökosystemdienstleistungen und REDD + -Projekte in Kolumbien und arbeite daran. Ich bin Teil der Studiengruppe Ziele für nachhaltige Entwicklung der Fakultät für Bergbau der Nationalen Universität von Kolumbien, Medellín. Darüber hinaus nahm ich als Autor an der IPBES-Evaluierung für Kolumbien zu biokultureller Vielfalt, Wissen und Praktiken in den Territorien und lokalen Gemeinschaften indigener Völker teil.
Ich bin Gründungsmitglied der gemeinnützigen Organisation Latin American Women, die Territorium, Umwelt und Gesellschaft „MILatts e.V.“ in Dresden-Deutschland.

Was?
Connie und Laura werden die CO2-Emissionshandelssysteme in Deutschland / Europa und Kolumbien, Latinoamerika, vergleichen. Laura wird über das Europäische Emissionshandelssystem (EU-ETS) berichten. Das EU-EHS besteht seit 2013 und ist ein Eckpfeiler der EU-Politik zur Bekämpfung des Klimawandels und seines Schlüsselinstruments zur kostengünstigen Reduzierung der Treibhausgasemissionen. Ziel ist es, die Emissionen von Anlagen mit hohem Energieverbrauch (Kraftwerke und Industrieanlagen) und Fluggesellschaften in der EU, welche ungefähr 40% von Treibhausgasemission verursacht.
Connie wird über de REDD + -Projekte in Kolumbien sprechen. REDD + -Aktivitäten tragen zu Minderungsmaßnahmen im Forstsektor bei und wurden weltweit umgesetzt.

Was ist der BNE-Treff?

Jeden ersten Montag im Monat bieten wir einen offenen Informations-, Austausch- und Vernetzungsabend für Pädagog:innen, Studierende, Schüler:innen, Projektkoordinator:innen und alle Interessierten am Thema Bildung für Nachhaltige Entwicklung (BNE) & Globales Lernen an.
Dazu wollen wir einen Raum eröffnen, in dem Erfahrungen, Ideen, Wissen, aber auch Frust zu kritischer und transformativer Bildungsarbeit geteilt werden können.
Der Treff ist partizipativ gestaltet: Gemeinsam suchen wir uns einmal im Jahr Themen aus, die anhand eines kurzen Inputs bei den jeweiligen monatlichen Treffen vorgestellt und diskutiert werden können. Am Ende jeden Treffs gibt es kurz Zeit für spontane Themen, Termine und Fragen…

Laura Holguin
I was born in Cali, Colombia and came to Germany in 2007 for my bachelor and master studies. I studied technical business administration as B.Sc and my masters was for waste management and contaminated site treatment at the TU Dresden. Since 2010 I’ve been working as an environmental engineer and consultant in the topics of organic waste management, energy efficiency and in the european CO2 trading system. I’m a founding member of the non-profit organisation Latin American Women weaving territory, environment and society „MILatts e.V.“ in Dresden, Germany. As M|Latts, we are looking forward to creating a network for environmental and social projects in Dresden as well as in our home countries in Latin America.

Professionally, I am an anthropologist with a Master’s degree in Environment and Development and a PhD in Geography. Currently, I’m an occasional lecturer at the National University of Colombia, Medellin. As a consultant and researcher, I am interested in and work on issues of nature and culture, local management and environmental participation, ecosystem services and REDD+ projects in Colombia.

I am part of the Sustainable Development Goals study group of the Faculty of Mines of the National University of Colombia, Medellín. In addition, I participated as an author in the IPBES evaluation for Colombia on bio-cultural diversity, knowledge and practices in indigenous peoples‘ territories and local communities. I am a founding member of the non-profit organisation Latin American Women weaving territory, environment and society „MILatts e.V.“ in Dresden-Germany.

What?
Connie and Laura will make a comparison of the CO2-emissions trading systems in Germany/Europe and Colombia, Latinoamerica. Laura will present about the European Emission Trading System (EU-ETS). The EU-ETS have existed since 2013 and is a cornerstone of the EU’s policy to combat climate change and its key tool for reducing greenhouse gas emissions cost-effectively. It aims to reduce emissions from heavy energy-using installations (power stations & industrial plants) and airlines in the EU and it covers approx. 40% of the EU’s greenhouse gas emissions. The presentation will be held in german.

Connie will talk about de REDD+ projects in Colombia. REDD+ activities contribute to mitigation actions in the forest sector and have been implemented globally. The presentation will be held in english. We look forward to a constructive discussion.

What is the ESD meeting?
Every first Monday of the month we offer an open information, exchange and networking evening for educators, students, project coordinators and anyone interested in the topic of Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) & global learning. To this end, we want to open up a space in which experiences, ideas, knowledge, but also frustration about critical and transformative educational work can be shared. The meeting is designed to be participatory: once a year we choose topics that can be presented and discussed at the respective monthly meetings using a short input. At the end of each meeting there is a short time for spontaneous topics, appointments and questions …
