Political Art Nights is a local action project funded by the European Solidarity Corps. It is planned and led by young people with the support of CAMBIO e.V., and takes clear inspiration from CAMBIO’s annual festival, Political Art Days, which has created spaces for people to come together and explore social, global, and ecological issues through art, culture and education.
This project brings that experience into a year-round format, by organising events and actions that are accessible to both CAMBIO’s networks and the wider public.
We are a committed international group of people living in Dresden who aim to create inclusive democratic spaces by hosting multilingual and English-friendly events, addressing sustainability through artistic expression, and promoting learning through non-formal education methods.
We believe that engaging with complex global issues can be fun, playful, and deeply meaningful. By using creative methods, we open doors to peer-to-peer knowledge, build inclusive communities, and empower collective change.

Come experience it by joining us as we build a circle together, use it to get to know each other, and discuss what moves us and affects us in current times. Our time together is valuable: we will invite patience, humility, deep listening, acceptance, respect, the willingness to sit with uncertainty and the ability to share responsibility. It is important that everyone joins voluntarily and comes with an open mind.
Feel free to invite your friends and you can also bring objects that have sentimental value to you, as well as things that inspire you such as songs, poems or artwork. We look forward to seeing you there!
APRIL — Workshop Beings in Migration
When? 16.04.26 from 18:30-21:30
Where? Stadtteilhaus Neustadt, Prießnitzstr. 18.
Together, we will decenter our human perspective, set aside preconceived ideas, and return to the basics: migration as the movement of beings from one place to another. A phenomenon as old as our planet itself.
With climate change and ongoing global conflicts forcing more and more people to move we want to understand migration more deeply. What beings and stories are held within this one word? What does it feel like? Does it appear in your own story as something familiar or unfamiliar?
Using our imagination, we will create new stories of migration to help us stretch our empathy muscles. Because some beings experience migration, others do not, and every story is unique.
This workshop is inspired by creative therapy practices. Together, we will craft, reflect, listen, and share in a mindful way. We want to honor the seriousness of the topic while also allowing space for playfulness. This is not a political debate.

We wish for an event that, through mindful interaction with one another, becomes a good experience for everyone. Please take care of each other.
The space of the Political Art Nights aims to invite and make diversity tangible. As organizers, we try to consider diversity on multiple levels.
As organizers, we are attentive and sensitive to sexism, racism, xenophobia, ableism, body-shaming, homophobia, and transphobia, as well as to each person’s boundaries and needs.
If you feel discriminated against or witness discriminatory behavior, don’t hesitate to speak to us.
In case you take pictures with other people visible, ask for consent before posting.
Awareness stands for consciousness, mindfulness, respect, and appreciation in how we interact with one another.
The Political Art Nights is not only a space of freedom, it is also a space where everyone should feel comfortable and safe.
We do not tolerate any form of discrimination, (sexualized) violence, or boundary violations.
We, organizers of PAN, will be your awareness team. There will be a designated person who will be indicated each night to be the primary contact person. Feel free to approach us!
