This workshop collection serves as a practical guide for youth workers and activists seeking to foster agency and drive social change. Drawn from the „Activism 101“ training course, the document consists of step-by-step, replicable session plans.
The primary aim of this resource is to transform the methodologies from the „Activism 101“ training into a practical, open-access toolkit that empowers youth workers and educators to replicate holistic activism practices. By bridging the gap between emotional resilience and strategic advocacy, the document provides step-by-step guides to help facilitators build safe, inclusive spaces where participants can develop the confidence and skills necessary for sustainable social change. Ultimately, it seeks to democratize these tools, allowing organizations across Europe to adapt them locally and foster a new generation of change-makers who can effectively navigate global crises without succumbing to burnout.
The collection covers a holistic spectrum of activism, blending emotional grounding (creating safety, embodied emotions, and self-care) with strategic action (power mapping, message framing, and tactical planning). Key modules include the „Wheel of Consent“ for boundary setting, the „Four Rs“ framework (Rebel, Reform, Recreate, Reimagine) for diverse activist roles, and exercises on prefiguration and inclusive leadership. Designed to be adaptable for various group sizes and contexts, this resource empowers facilitators to build resilient, creative, and sustainable movements that address today’s global crises.
